I am a blogger now

In part this was because I had been learning Ruby on Rails for a few months at that point, in part because I wanted to start a business and could not find the right people to help me – so I thought a social network for finding such people would be useful, and in part because I tend to be always working on something – and ran out of things to do.
When I started this social network I had time on my hands because I was between jobs, and I spent maybe 100 hours a week on this. I did manage to find about 8 people willing to work with me (for free!) and things got very interesting. However, I then had to take a real job to pay the bills, and since I could no longer focus as much on this project, I let the people fall away. I decided to keep going with it on my own however, working nights and weekends, with occasional help from others.
In the process I have learned a lot more about Ruby on Rails and related technologies, and now I am getting into figuring out how to market the website.
As I am learning all of these things, I decided to share the knowledge with anyone who is willing to read about it… and that is why I became a blogger.
The social network? This one.
